Celebrate "Engineers Week" 2017 with Lifetime Lab and enjoy some special engineering themed workshops and events.
The theme of Engineers Week 2017 is "Engineering our Future" and visiting school groups may choose from our hands on primary science workshops, our visiting LEGO Education workshops from Learn it or book a MathsWorks - Primary Maths Workshop visit to your school. For the weekend families may enjoy our "Meet The Engineers " family fun day on Sunday March 12th. - In the weeks surrounding Engineers Week 2017 Cork primary schools may avail of a visit form MathsWorks - Primary Maths Workshop, our hands on primary maths workshop using a series of games, puzzles and activities to encourage a multi-sensory approach to engaging primary maths.
- Learn it, the only provider of LEGO Education services in Ireland bring two exciting engineering themed workshops to Lifetime Lab for Engineers Week, 1st/2nd class groups may participate in junior robotics including programming, while 3rd to 6th class may enjoy engineering challenges and investigate during Machines & Mechanisms.
- Primary schools children participate in hands on science investigations, our primary science workshops focus on the skills, concept development and content objectives of the SESE Science Curriculum. Throughout the design of the hands on workshops we are mindful the primary science activities presented would be modeled on and represent feasible classroom practice. - For second level “Exploristica - Adventures in Statistics” is available, Exploristica is an interactive exhibit, consisting of individual stations based on statistics and collation of data.
To celebrate Engineers Week Lifetime Lab style on Sunday March 12th we host "Meet The Engineers" a family fun open day which will see Lifetime Lab once again handed over to volunteer engineers offering fun games and activities based on engineering themes ranging from computers to bridges, admission is free on the day and is full of engineering themed activities for all to enjoy.
