The Lifetime Lab Primary Science Workshop programme is uniquely available to schools in Cork City and County. Our Primary Science Workshops welcome children from 3rd to 6th class to explore topics from the SESE Science Curriculum under the guidance of a qualified teacher experienced in the teaching of Primary Science. The 3 1/2 hour workshops are full of hands on practical science activities that encourage discovery and investigation.
Primary Science Workshop topics change each year and individual workshops are adapted to suit the class levels attending, our theme for 2016/17 is "Heat and Materials". Equipment used consists of simple accessible household items and all activities are planned to be possible in a classroom/school setting. Over the years teachers have commented that the workshop are a great source of ideas and have helped teachers develop their own science teaching.
Our package includes transport to and from your school on our subsidised Lifetime Lab bus.
All Lifetime Lab primary science and maths activities and school tours are accredited to the Discover Primary Science and Maths Programme and may be used to apply for the award of Primary Science and Maths Excellence.
