Bord Gais Kidwind Teacher Training

KidWind Ireland is a project that seeks to support teachers; training and equipping them so they can teach their students about wind energy and renewables in Ireland. Aimed at science, mathmatics and geography teachers, covering theory and practical wind energy topics at the appropriate level, training is delivered as a hands on, fun; four day course which includes a visit to a sponsor wind tur-bine site and a curriculum kit to use in teaching the material to students, which even includes a desk top turbine to be built in the classroom!
