"Explorers" Primary Marine Science Programme is returning to Lifetime Lab for April 2016
The collaboration between Lifetime Lab, “Explorers” Primary Marine Outreach and Education Programme and Galway Atlantaquaria will bring some of the wonders of marine life to primary school children over three weeks this April. The "Explorers" primary science programme will run from Tuesday April 5th to Friday April 22nd offing an opportunity for pupils to engage in hands on activities on the themes of "Living Things", "Environmental Awareness & Care", "Materials" and "Energy and Forces" over a 90 minute workshop.

The Explorers Education Programme aims to integrate marine themes as closely as possible with lessons already taught in primary schools through the Social Environment and Scientific Education (SESC) curriculam and other cross-curricular subjects.The primary science programme is co-ordinated by the Marine Institute through Galway Atlantaquaria and has already been successfully rolled out to close to seventy primary schools in the West of Ireland from Mayo to Clare, and in twelve schools in the greater Dublin area.
