Electricity Savings at Lifetime Lab

The team at Lifetime Lab have actively sought to reduce the carbon footprint of day to day operations,one of the areas we focused on was electricty consumption. Listed below are a series of graphs which show the progress made over the last number of years.

Initially the team focused in on equipment which used a lot of electricity and set about learning how best to utilise the technology.To do this we conducted an energy audit and began to record the electricity use of equipment and keep accurate records.

The next step was to examine the behaviour of the staff and how and when we used electricity,could we change the way we worked and be more consious of how we used electricity.

Finally we put all the bits and pieces together and developed an action plan.Our reductions so far are comparable in CO2 terms to emission of 9 petrol cars.
